Ever heard Deepak Chopra saying we were spiritual beings having a bodily experience? Have you ever watched the Oprah’s interview with Deepak in India, where he was explaining that once we drop the body, our Spirit continues it’s journey. He made an analogy to a collapsed building pondering the question of what happens to that space – it’s there he said calmly, it will always be there, because what we see is an illusion and what’s real is the invisible.

Couple of years ago, while still at Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I had lecture by. dr.    Michael Newton, a researcher and a  Master Hypnotist holding a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology who researches and works with individuals whom he places in a state of deep hypnosis during which they recall their experiences between lives as eternal spirits.

It was a very hard concept to comprehend for someone brought-up in the Western religious tradition where 99.9% of the population was Catholic and the law of Karma and concept of reincarnation seemed to exist only in the Eastern religious traditions or the movies, like My name is Earl…

What is your opinion about what happens when we drop this body? What do you think takes place?

While it is not my intention to convince you to anything, I felt like igniting a spark of curiosity that was instilled in me definitely requiring an open mindness.

I recently finished reading dr. Newton’s book called Journey of Souls, where Dr. Newton narrates and comments upon the progressive “travel log” of 29 of his clients who movingly describe what happened to them between their former reincarnations on earth revealing graphic details about how it feels to die, who meets us right after death, what the spirit world is really like, where we go and what we do as souls, and why we choose to come

back in certain bodies.

Are you even more curious now?

After reading the book I scheduled a session with one of the therapists trained by dr. Newton, a psychologist and also a medium. I meant to see her over a year ago, but I just couldn’t. At that time I didn’t want to know.

I asked for a past life regression wanting to understand my life’s purpose as of now. I wanted to know why was I so driven, what was the root cause of my passion, what about the painful events that shaped me into the woman you see today? Most of us ask themselves the question of Why am I here? What impact am I to leave? What is the purpose of my life? Those are universal questions we all ask ourselves at some point and especially after any turn pointing life event. I wanted some answers.

Did I get them? Well, this is very personal, so I will not be describing my session here. Just know that that was an incredible, very emotional and very much needed experience.

I am at peace, I now fully understand the concept of being exactly where we are supposed to be today and I know I am being supported in every step of the way. Gabrielle Bernstein once said, that if she were to ask for one thing and one thing only, it would be for being supported by the Universe…

That is my thought of the week. Let me know what you think.
