Beauty Routine

We all want to look stunning every moment of of lives, but did you know that in order for this desire to come true, we must actually do a little work.

Worry not though, it is quite pleasant and you can do it at home, using few staples.

Ready?

Here is what’s on today’s Weekend Beauty Menu:

Microdermabrasion Homestyle
A little pumice powder available online through Soapgoods.com mixed with a little organic balm, coconut oil or Younique’s Clean or Clear face wash. Scrub gently and not very long, this stuff is powerful! Careful around the eye area!

Oxygenation
Mix a teaspoon of baking soda with a splash of hydrogen peroxide. Rub into your face gently for 20 seconds. Baking soda is antiseptic, hydrogen peroxide delivers oxygen to the cells. Use this instead of paying a $100 for an oxygen mask at the top spas.

Detox
There is nothing better than a clay mask. Here I am using one of Heal ‘N Glow masks I Used to make for my clients. It is loaded with superfruits and a combination of clays. But you can get one simple clay and as long as you commit to using it weekly, you will get a great result. Clays are strong and pull out any toxins from underneath the epidermis. Mix it with water, apply on clean face for 10-15 minutes, rinse well. Skip the eye and upper lip area. I like to add a drop of geranium essential oil, which is very nice for women over 40. I have found that many younger women do not like the strong rose smell. Choose what you like, but skip the citrus, as it could not only be irritating but photogenic, meaning react with sun.

Deep Oiling
At this point, before I hop into the shower, I like to apply a heavy layer of coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba or an organic balm allowing it to soak deep into my skin and protect it from the shower water. Don’t worry, once you are done with your shower, you will not be greasy, on the contrary, your skin will feel as soft as baby buttocks…

Moisturizing
As a final step, use the Divine Moisturizer by Younique loaded with Gotu Kola, Blue Lotus, Honeysuckle extracts and vegetable source of Squalane.

Hydration
There is no outer beauty without inner hydration, so drink, drink plenty, half a body weight in ounces of water daily. My favorite? Cranberry concentrate with a quart of water and two tablespoons of Chia seeds. Let the chia plump up for 20 minutes and hydrate you and beautify you from within.

Go about having a beautiful weekend!
